Rory McIlroy at Pinner Hill
“In over his head at Pinner Hill Golf Club”- that was nearly the story when Rory McIlroy almost holed his trick shot on his recent visit to what is becoming recognised as, one of the best courses in Middlesex.
Amid tight security the current US Open Champion recently visited Pinner Hill Golf Club which is set in the tranquil heart of Pinner’s premier private estate. His mission was to record the first of a series of television adverts for the Spanish bank Santander.
Originally screened in the run up to Christmas and now widely on the internet, the advert shows the star from Northern Ireland using the manicured banks of a bunker to launch the ball over his head onto the green.
Whilst such feats may for the time being be the preserve of the stars, the environment and facilities of Pinner Hill Golf Club are there for all to hone their skills and enjoy exercise and camaraderie whilst doing so.
You may need to do more to join Rory as a Member of the British Empire but you can easily share his experience at Pinner Hill where membership is available and visitors are welcomed.
