The London Marathon
Mark Birchell has decided to run the London Marathon this year for VICTA who are an excellent Children’s Charity supporting Blind and partially sighted Children. He would be really grateful if you would consider sponsoring me for this worthy cause.
Mark writes: "In case you have not heard of VITCA before here’s a little bit of info about them:
“VICTA" provide support for families with children and young people who are visually impaired. Started in 1987 by a group of parents of blind and partially sighted children who came together to discuss their individual problems and found that they could help each other with the day to day problems of looking after a visually impaired child.
Since this time, VICTA has developed into a national charity and now supports children and young people who are blind or partially sighted across the UK.”
For more info please take a look at their webpage: http://www.victa.org.uk/victa-children/
As is customary I have setup a webpage to make donating as easy as possible:
Thanks in advance for your support."
Bunker Modification works Feb.2017
Some information regarding Bunker works to the left of 6th green commencing 6th February.
The current bunker’s size will be increased and the face reshaped to suit the new look.
A drain will be installed length ways across the playing area with the drains fed into a sump outside the bunker which will be filled with gravel, capped off with sand then soil and seeded.
Once the shape of the bunker has been achieved, bunker liner turf will be installed to act as a base, allowing water to reach the drainage but acting as a barrier against any contamination from below such as stones, drainage gravel or clay. This will be left in this state and out of play in order to settle and strengthen.
Once the turf has a good strong footing sand will be added and the bunker will be back in play.
Only minor disruption to play is forecast during this period

For the 47 of us who joined Phil, our new caterer at his first Sunday carvery we all had a fantastic treat.
With a selection of beautifully cooked meats and vegetables of great texture and taste, it was the best meal i have had at Pinner Hill for a long time.
The selection of sweets which followed the main meal was also of superb quality, i am already looking forward to his next gourmet lunch.
Congratulations Phil and welcome to Pinner Hill Golf Club.
