Whether you are new to golf or have had some golfing experience, you will be given a Mentor when you join, whose role it is to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Your Mentor will accompany you out on the course, advise and help with obtaining a handicap and getting to know the basic rules of golf. They will help you with the various activities run by the Ladies section and the Club.
Tuesday is our designated ‘Ladies Day’, for playing competitions. However, these are also played at the weekends and also on a Monday. We have a strong contingent of working women who play at weekends.
On a Friday we have a social ‘fiddle’ or roll-up, a friendly team game over either 9 or 18 holes. An ideal opportunity to play with and meet a wide range of ladies.
The Ladies have a healthy competitive section, with several teams that play interclub matches both competitively and socially against other clubs in the local area. There is the Pearson Team for handicap range 13–32 and a Scratch Team, providing members from single figure handicaps to mid-teens with the opportunity to play matches off scratch. We also enter Middlesex and National Competitions at a club level, wand have been successful at National level, for example the Coronation Foursomes.
During the year we have a number of major golf days, such as the Spring Meeting, Lady Captain’s Day, the Autumn Meeting, an Invitation Day and our AGM followed by the new Lady Captain’s Drive-In and golf. After golf on these days, we usually have a meal together in the club house.
We have an Away Day early spring when we go to another local course to play. We also have a 2-night golf weekend away in early Summer and a 1-night stay in early Autumn. Everyone is welcome!
There are a number of enjoyable mixed golfing events during the year when you will be paired with someone from one of the other sections.
Lady members of Pinner Hill Golf Club are automatically joined as members of Middlesex Golf (MG) and England Golf. Middlesex Golf organises events for all levels of golf.
